Diversity... What a great topic to talk about. It is one of the most important topics in the world today. Diversity is a big deal, its the thing that everybody is talking about. You cannot have a world without diversity. You cannot have a continent without diversity. Heck, you can't even have a state without diversity. Diversity is all around us. In the class room. In our dorms. On the buses. Even just walking around campus, diversity is smacking you in the face.
For my diversity event I went to the speaker who was talking about a Teenager in Alcatraz. The speaker's name was Tim Tingle. He captivated the audience with the story of Clarence Carnes. He brought most of the audience to tears with the vivid story, he even had me tearing up. Tim Tingle told the story of Alcatraz's youngest inmate. He told the story with great detail and care, for it was not his story to tell. Tim first heard the story of Clarence from one of his good friends that lived in Oklahoma, who had personally known Clarence because they used to run together. (Running together means that they were doing bad stuff together if you didn't know that already) The man that told Tim about Clarence also went to jail, but he is now living like a free bird. I even think that he is currently living in one of the towns that he committed a crime in. I really liked this speaker, he didn't back track on what he was talking about. I learned a lot about diversity and I am looking forward to more diversity programs and speakers.

Let's Tweet It Up!
Twitter.... I actually like Twitter a lot. At first I really disliked it and it was really hard to tweet because I didn't know what to say and I didn't want to sound silly. But after the first couple of tweet I really just tweeted whatever I wanted and now I really like it a lot.
I like to tweet about what I'm feeling and what I'm doing. And I kinda just keep the state of mind that if people didn't want to know what I have to say then they would not have followed me in the first place. So I just say whats in the heart. And sometime I will just tweet random things that I think are funny or just plain stupid. I have even tweeted a couple of thing that I found on YouTube that I thought were funny. My Twitter Account is www.twitter.com/paitenmarie if anybody out there is wanting to know.
I really do find value in my Twitter account, because it lets you post things that you normally wouldn't post on other social networks, like Facebook. And it is really for people that want to know what you are doing so you don't need to be shy about what you post. And it helps you keep tabs on things that you think are important. and if you don't have anything that you think is important or you don't know what/who to follow, or you really don't know how to use Twitter you can use this website to get you started http://mashable.com/guidebook/twitter/.
Overall I think that twitter is a great website for average people. It has helped me learn little things about people that I would not have known otherwise and I hope that my twitter account has helped people see a different side of me that they would not have normally seen. Let's Tweet It Up!
